Servicing of air-cooled condensers is essential for maintaining performance excellence. First, we carry out an audit to give the customer a clear view of how the equipment is operating. We can then suggest options for optimization. These include a full-service revamp, installing fogging and bundle cleaning systems, louvers, and isolation valves. The service revamp involves replacing all parts with new and improved technology to remove any bottlenecks, increase production and equipment viability. As a result, air-cooled condensers are more efficient, leading to energy savings, lower costs, a longer mean time between failures (MTBF) and the ability to meet new process demands.
While air-cooled condensers are reliable, robust and built to last, parts will eventually need repairing or replacing. By carrying out an on-site audit, our service engineers will identify how a condenser is performing and recommend any repairs or upgrades needed to optimize it. For older air-cooled condensers, a service revamp is the best solution for improving performance without replacing the entire unit. Connection to heating network will also require the air-cooled condenser to be modified to be perfectly adapted to the new process parameters especially in winter. By retrofitting all the unit’s parts with better, more efficient, equipment, the production viability of the air-cooled condenser is assured. The service revamp will remove any bottlenecks constraining production that were identified in the audit, improving efficiency. This, in turn, leads to savings on energy and costs, increases the MTBF and can reduce noise and vibration. Revamping prepares the way for meeting increased demand in the future and extends the lifecycle of the air-cooled condenser.
Damaged or corroded tubes or tube ends? The Kelvion solution is relining the tubes or tube ends and installing CTI Shield/Seals™ or Full Length Tube Liners.
