GEA air filters with P-Mark certification seal
15. January 2010 The SP Technical Research Institute in Sweden confirms conformity to top quality standards by GEA Exos Ventilation for air filters produced in the Czech Republic
The SP Technical Research Institute in Boras, Sweden, has tested GEA Exos Ventilation products in accordance with strict P-Mark criteria. It has awarded the coveted P-Mark certification to Class 7 air filters by GEA Delbag.
Award of the P-Mark certification seal was preceded by months of severe testing by the Swedish research institute. Its testing methods are even more rigorous than those stipulated by demanding Eurovent requirements. The Swedish laboratory examined these GEA filters not only for their observance of Eurovent criteria – such as Test Procedure EN779 and quality regulations in production as per ISO 9000. In addition, the test sample filters were selected completely at random and on an independent basis. They were further subjected to functional proficiency testing under highly realistic operation conditions over an uninterrupted period of six months, according to SP Procedure 1937, in order to evaluate filtration efficiency. As is also the case with Eurovent, the Scandinavian testing laboratories monitor whether modifications in the filter product are promptly documented and are reported in out-of-house production communication. In addition, the laboratories in Boras examine the entire chains of procurement, production, and sales activities for GEA Exos Ventilation air filters, and perform annual audits.
