GEA at Nor-Shipping 2013
12. April 2013 At Nor-Shipping, (Oslo, June 4 to June 7, 2013), GEA (Hall E02, stand 07) will present tailor-made cooling solutions for maritime applications.
GEA Bloksma NF oil cooler – small footprint but high cooling effect
With the the Bloksma NF GEA presents a highly efficient oil cooler. Using water as coolant, this device can efficiently cool oil in turbines, diesel- or gas-powered engines, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic- and refrigeration plants or compressors. Plate fins on the oil-conducting tube bundles offer a large heat-transition surface and enable enhanced heat transfer. The GEA Bloksma NF oil cooler, available in four model sizes, operates with water and oil pressures up to 30 bar.
Exhaust gas recirculation cooler sustainably reduces emissions
The fully welded GEA exhaust gas recirculation cooler (EGR) represents a new cooler generation for large diesel engines to reduce NOx emissions according to IMO targets (80 % until 2016). This maintenance-friendly system cools down exhaust gases from max. 700 °C to 50 °C, before gases are mixed with combustion air. A newly developed plate-fin geometry ensures sufficient turbulences for minimizing dirt and debris in the tubular system. The stainless steel heat exchangers are intended for use with large diesel engines and, owing to their dedicated design, assure long service lives.
