Kelvion continues to grow globally! Its growth strategy includes new markets such as Data Centres and green technologies. This growth is built on the sound foundations of manufacturing effectiveness to deliver the capacity needed.

Reporting to our global EVP Asia Pac as part of the regional leadership team, with matrix reporting in to our EVP Manufacturing Globally, the VP Operations is a key role within our organization and will take ownership and responsibility for manufacturing output; health and safety and people. The site produces products for four Business Units within Kelvion for a diverse range of applications involving heat rejection and products / process cooling. The majority of the sales revenue comes from domestic operations in China. The site also serves intercompany customers globally.

Currently the site has revenue of €138 Mio and 600 employees and a YoY growth rate of 20%. We are looking for a seasoned VP Operations for the Chinese site located in Wuhu who can manage the manufacturing operations and support the domestic and global growth planned therefore.

The VP Operations plays a pivotal role in creating a culture of continuous improvement, optimizing, and driving sustainable performance gains throughout site. This position is essential for achieving competitive advantages and delivering value to customers and stakeholders.

With one of the broadest multi-dimensional heat exchange solution portfolios worldwide, we are a well-known partner to many significant global customers in key industries, including transportation, energy, oil & gas, chemical, marine, food & beverage, HVAC, data centers and the refrigeration technology sector. Our product range includes Compact Fin Heat Exchangers, Air Fin Coolers, Plate Heat Exchangers, Single Tube Heat Exchangers, Transformer Cooling Systems, Modular Cooling Towers as well as Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Condensers, Evaporators, Customized Coolers and Spare Parts for Service.

Kelvion’s global manufacturing footprint, with 13 production sites in 8  countries, combined with our international Sales and Service network, enables us to be aligned closely to our global and local customers; and to the unique regional markets in which they operate.

Key areas of focus and responsibility:

  1. Continuing the growth trajectory of our WUH operations through upscaling production whilst maintaining cost control, short product lead times and high quality. This will include setting up manufacturing systems for engineer to order products on short delivery times
  2. Establishing engineering competence within site, in order to reduce design dependence on other EU plants. This will include large scale product introductions, with process and production updates in parallel and building an engineering hub for outsourcing activities from EU.
  3. Flawless execution of OEM build lines for several of Kelvion’s most significant global accounts.
  4. Shaping a strong and dedicated organization on management level where each manager has full accountability for his area of competence.
  5. Increase the domestic market share and profitability.


  • Overall responsibility for the plant operation.
  • Implement strategies in alignment with corporate strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
  • Plan, organize, direct and execute optimum day-to-day operations to exceed the customers’ expectations.
  • Responsibility for production output, product quality, controlling etc.
  • Ensure continuous safe and efficient operations across the site. Commit to plant safety procedures.
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste / overtime / etc.
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity, quality.
  • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.
  • Implementing changes.
  • Build a strong and dedicated local management team where the local team is taking accountability for their area of competence.
  • Cooperate and communicate with other companies of the group / sharing best practice.

To be successful in this highly business critical role you will:


  • University degree, major in mechanical engineering or related.
  • Experience in an international production company or supplier eg. heating, ventilation, air conditioning, air filters, mechanical components etc.
  • At least 15 years proven work experience as a plant manager / production manager or similar (size 300+ employees).
  • Proven managerial experience.
  • Proven record of successfully turn around a plant.
  • Adequate knowledge of business, finance and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources, calculations etc.).
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation and inventory processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO/ TÜV / API audits etc. appreciated.
  • Familiarity with production line extensions and build-up of new production lines is an advantage.

  • English fluent, both oral and written is essential to be part of our global organization.
