They provide effective heat removal matched to advanced, compact, powerful servers – and eliminate the hotspots that the servers create. The units are installed either alongside or between the servers. Their footprint is only 0.30 to 0.36 m² and they are 2100 mm high. The models in the GEA Row-Denco® series provide cooling in circulating air operation with chilled water circuit (CW version) or with a direct expansion circuit (DX version) using R410A refrigerant. The units can operate in a network with duty/standby redundancy to allow for maintenance work during operations. Since the units are installed between the racks, the air paths are shortened. The result is greater air volume cooled per hour and a higher temperature gradient. To meet all requirements of room geometry, the air flow can be guided in four directions.

The standard versions of GEA Row-Denco® units include EC fans with low power consumption. In addition, the direct expansion version includes an electronic expansion valves, offering high EER values: from 3.1 to 3.4. Installation is possible with connections from either the top or bottom of the unit.

Selection is possible among four chilled water versions and three direct expansion versions. Here, the direct expansion offer cooling duties of 10.63 kW for the smallest and 28.62 kW for the largest model, with maximum air flow of 1500 m³/h to 4200 m³/h. For chilled water versions, cooling duties of 16.14 kW to 24.60 kW are available, with airflow in these models from 2520 m³/h to 4200 m³/h. An optional feature is a solution with two separate cold-water cooling circuits, enabling redundancy within a single unit. All models in this series are intended for operation with indoor temperatures of up to 45 °C. The models cooled with chilled water are designed for relative humidity of 7 to 82 % – and for direct expansion, 7 to 53 % RH.

The direct expansion versions are intended for the standard outdoor temperature range between -15 °C and +45 °C. A special winter retrofit allows extending this range down to -35 °C. There are additional accessories, depending on the basic model. These include sensors for water and smoke, noise reduction features, interface cards, humidifiers, energy-monitoring sensors, shutoff valves, flexible water connections, floor clamp kits, and dual power supply.
