GEA Heat Exchangers has doubled its production capacity for bag filters

Press Release

01. October 2013 In September of 2013, GEA Heat Exchangers a.s. in Liberec (Czech Republic) began production on its new line for manufacturing GEA Delbag bag filters. In its Czech plant, GEA produces wedge-shaped filter bags made of synthetic or micro-fiberglass fibers. These filter bags, mounted on profile-section frames made of galvanized steel or plastic, serve as filter media used in such applications as air handling units for comfort climate control and industrial ventilation systems. The new production line enables processing of up to 20,000 m² of filter fleece per day, which suffices for approx. 24,000 filter bags or several thousand filters. This new capacity represents doubling of the previous output.

The new production line in the GEA Heat Exchangers a.s. plant in Liberec (Czech Republic) enables production of twice as many filter bags as before: 24,000 daily.

The moderization not only increased production output: it also enhanced product quality. One improvement: the new production machines have greater tolerance than did the previous machines for processing various filter-fleece materials. A second improvement: the production line now makes it even easier to conform to stricter quality criteria. This quality enhancement is apparent not only in the technical data recorded by the manufacturer, but also in assignments to the energy-efficiency classifications as set forth by Eurovent. To simplify the selection of filter media by customers, all GEA Delbag fine-dust bag filters carry the Eurovent label to which they have been assigned. GEA Delbag bag filters in Classes F7 and F9, for example, have been assgined to the most efficient class: A.
