GEA Multi Flair design unit air heaters now available with the more efficient and quiet EC Blue Fan

20. February 2014 The most powerful of the three GEA Multi Flair design unit heaters is now available with a quiet and exceptionally energy-efficient EC Blue Fan. Unlike unit heater models with single- or multi-speed motors, the fan speed for this EC model can be set on a continuously variable basis – or can be automatically regulated as required by the GEA MATRIX control system.

A notable benefit of the new fans is their low power consumption. These design unit air heaters are primarily operated in part-load mode, where the EC motor drive comes to full benefit Using the EC Blue Fan power consumption from 30 to 50 W, depending on operating point, and sound power levels from 50 to 60 dB(A), can now be realized. With operation at low fan speeds – often sufficient for everyday needs – the noise level is even lower than previous models.

At the maximum possible setting for air flow, heating duty up to approx. 25 kW and cooling duty up to approx. 12 kW are achieved, depending on media specifications. These performance data for fast temperature control of rooms are interesting key parameters for the engineering design involved. The large GEA Multi Flair models, available with or without decorative casings, are ideally suited for the heating or cooling of automobile dealerships, shopping centers, and other premises for which climate comfort, aesthetics, and quietness are all required.
