Networking for the young professional generation - Knowledge transfer for engineers goes into the second round
02. May 2013 The TRANSFORM Campus will take place in Berlin from June 6 to 7, 2013. Last year, this seminar and networking event for the transformer industry – launched by GEA and its partner companies in the TRANSFORM initiative – achieved highly successful premiers. Young engineers, starting professionals, and anyone who wants to intensify their knowledge of transformers are welcome to the event.
The two-day seminar program offers its participants first-hand expert knowledge and a good opportunity to develop their own personal networks in the transformer industry and to exchange views with the speakers making the presentations. The seminar program includes practically oriented presentations on transformers and the power grid.
At the Technical Sessions, all TRANSFORM partner companies provide information about their components that involve all aspects of the transformer: for example, how reliable and efficient heat transfer to oil-cooled transformers can effectively function. The topics monitoring, testing, and asset management are also presented.
Prominent lecturers from college, universities, and business will ensure exciting and highly valuable presentations. For example, Professor Stefan Tenbohlen (Prof. Dr.-Ing. from Stutgart University) will act as keynote speaker, with focus on power grids, and Professor Claus Neumann (Prof. Dr.-Ing.) will speak on asset-management solutions for transformers. One highlight of TRANSFORM Campus this year is a tour of the high-voltage testing field at “The House of Sparks” at Berlin Technical University. With a size of 15 x 40 x 17 m, it offers sufficient room for large tested equipment and for numerous visitors. Participants can expect impressive high-voltage experiments as well as demonstration measurements made on transformers.
In addition to TRANSFORM Campus, those who are interested can gain important information on products and solutions of TRANSFORM partner companies, from June 4 to June 6 at the CWIEME Berlin trade fair. All ten companies will operate fair stands and will exhibit equipment there. TRANSFORM® will also have its own presentations at its stand in Hall 4.2.
At www.transform.net you can find all event details and can officially register for the seminar.
The name TRANSFORM stands for a partner network of European premium manufacturers in the field of power transformers. The following companies are involved in this network:
Essex & LS Cable, GEA Renzmann & Grünewald GmbH, HSP Hochspannungsgeräte GmbH & Trench Bushing Group, KREMPEL-Group, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH & HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik Dresden GmbH, Nynas AB, OMICRON electronics GmbH, PFISTERER Kontaktsysteme GmbH, Röchling Engineering Plastics KG, and ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel.
The international conference TRANSFORM, which has taken place every two years since 1998, is one of the best-established events in the transformer industry for learning about innovations in power transformers and for meeting and discussing with specialists.
