Product safety and preventive maintenance with the Kelvion leakage test procedure
08. November 2016 Product and process safety sustainably assures the success of a company engaged in industrial production of food and beverages – and gains the resulting trust of the customer.
The Kelvion leakage test procedure is based on a hydrogen method, which features 90 % nitrogen (N2) and 10 % hydrogen (H2) – and which conforms to all stipulations in E949 and to the strict accreditation standards of the International Food Standard (FIS) and the HACCP Plan. This Kelvion test allows early detection of material fatigue and of already existing heat exchanger plate ruptures in the smallest micro-range.
This procedure enables in many cases the opportunity of repairing or replacing a leaking heat exchanger before food production in process is affected.
