Cooling that saves power
15. October 2012 The range of GEA Goedhart standard coolers has undergone various improvements over the past months. For example, all standard coolers are now also available with EC fans, which means that they already fulfill the efficiency requirements of the Energy related Products (ErP) Directive that will go into force in 2015.
The EC fan motors enable infinitely variable setting of the motor speed and offer great energy efficiency, also at partial load. The motor-speed setting takes place, as desired, by means of the Modbus interface, or via a 0...10-V input. Customers who place even greater emphasis on energy efficiency can in addition order standard coolers with 800-mm fans, also as ZAplus models. These fans, manufactured by Ziehl-Abegg, will in future also be available for GEA Goedhart coolers with smaller fan diameters.
Beginning now, all heat exchangers can furthermore be ordered with copper tubes from the cooler ranges VCI, DVS, and BC, in a version with interior-corrugated pipes. These heat exchangers are effective for direct-evaporation systems with HFC or CO2 refrigerants, and are designed for pressures up to 40 bar.
The most current GPC software is an effective aid in selection of the most suitable cooler model. The program is ready for download at www.goedhart.nl.
