Quality first for hospital HVAC system

The hospital, located in Manama, has been serving the community for more than 100 years. It offers general and specialist medical and dental services that are globally accredited.
Reliable and robust HVAC is essential for maintaining comfortable temperatures for medical staff and patients. Based on past experience of using Kelvion heat exchange expertise, the hospital asked us to supply two NT series plate heat exchangers for its cold circuit chilled water system.

Dependable operation and easy to maintain
Kelvion provided one 87kW plate heat exchanger and a second at 131kW. Both units have a design pressure of between 0 and 10 barg, and a minimum/maximum design temperature of 0ºC/50ºC. The plates are configured in a herringbone design that allows the capability to meet differential pressure across the plate at 1.5 times the design pressure.
The frames are specifically designed and built to retain pressure and guarantee dependable operation and easy maintenance throughout their lifecycle. Tightening bolts and plate carrying bars are made from stainless steel to prevent rust forming. The frame and carrying bars are designed to allow the plates to expand while still providing space for maintenance.

The result
Both heat exchangers were installed on time and are operating successfully.
