The cool choice for refrigeration projects | Space Engineering

Environmentally friendly, energy efficient and cost-effective solutions were important requirements for two major refrigeration projects in England – a temperature-controlled wine store and a multi-temperature facility – and Kelvion coolers are playing an important role in meeting them.
Environmentally friendly, energy efficient and cost-effective solutions were important requirements for two major refrigeration projects in England – a temperature-controlled wine store and a multi-temperature facility – and Kelvion coolers are playing an important role in meeting them.

Reliable service

Both projects were assigned to refrigeration specialists Space Engineering. Kelvion has a good relationship with this customer, going back many years so they could be assured of a reliable service from us.

Future proof
The wine store, located in London, wanted an energy-efficient system that would be future proof and maintain a temperature of +12ºC. To achieve this, Space Engineering installed a glycol chiller and 12 Kelvion dual discharge coolers – eight three fan and four single fan – that run from a control system with a common control panel. The system has a cooling capacity of 62kW spread across the 12 coolers.

Large capacity
For the second project, a multi-temperature facility in the Southeast of England, Space Engineering designed, built and supplied two CO2 packs. They comprised two ECO2MAXI refrigeration plants with parallel compression and a remote Kelvion flat bed gas cooler, LT desuperheater and heat reclaim.

With a total capacity of 460 L, it was the largest plant that the customer’s Pack Build team had supplied and we were pleased that Kelvion equipment was selected to be part of it.

The result
Both projects were installed successful and are running smoothly.
