VP Operations (M/W/D)

Reporting to our Manufacturing Country Leader, the role has the full P&L responsibility for the sites in Almere with a current turnover of approximately 25 Mio. € and approx. 75 employees. The site produce products for a diverse range of applications involving heat rejection and products / process cooling. 

We are looking for a VP Operations with a proven track record in successful implementation of manufacturing standards with strong safety mindset coupled with leadership and team development skills.

What you will be responsible for:

Ensure continuous safe and efficient operations. Own and drive the plant safety procedures and safety culture. 

• Responsibility for the plant operations (production output, product quality, production cost, lead-time)
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Responsible for the P&L, cash conversion cycle and drive for improved business results
• Close cooperation with the Sales and Technology Organization in driving initiatives for ensuring the plant utilization
• Develop a strong and dedicated local management team where the local team is taking accountability for their area of competence. Develop a culture of engagement for employees
• Implement strategies in alignment with corporate strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
• Implement KMAeX operational excellence to the global standard

Some of the skills that we would expect to see on the application however are:

• Experienced international plant leader with a proven track record and minimum of minimum 5 years managerial experience in a medium-sized international industrial company
• Preferably experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, air filters, mechanical components etc.  Environment
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity and inventory processes
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Ability to work and lead in an international matrix organization
• Adequate knowledge of business, finance and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources, calculations etc.).
• Goal and target-oriented with experience delivering annual revenue targets 
  in a competitive industry or market environment
• Appetite for Lean Manufacturing / OpEx culture deployment supported by a good knowledge of OpEx tools suite
• Skills to effectively identify, manage, and close larger projects
• Blend of hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic 
  priorities with tactical engagement
• Need to fit to the existing team while also introducing and leading change
• Fluent in Dutch and English

The role is based full time at the manufacturing site and requires you to be based in commutable distance of the site daily.
