Rising to the challenge
The CRAH unit transfers the heat produced by the servers and transfers it to a process chilled water loop. Because data centre cooling systems consume large amounts of power, the customer was keen to have new equipment that was more operationally and energy efficient.
Space constraints in the centre meant that the new equipment had to fulfill the requirements but keep within the same dimensions. Kelvion’s wide experience in manufacturing and supplying CRAH technology enabled us to meet this challenge.
It involved collaboration between our R&D, project management, engineering and sales teams at Fareham in the UK and Knoxville in the US. Each team member knew their role and interacted directly with the customer’s teams to ensure the success of the project.
The result
The data centre is now equipped with the next generation of server hall cooling that meets all the requirements for quality, reliability and PUE.
