    Paint them red
    An American multinational equipment designer and manufacturer placed the order on behalf of the end customer, a data centre market leader globally.
    There were two special requirements – delivery in just three weeks and for the coolers to be painted red rather than the standard gray.

    Kelvion is always open to requests for a change of color and, while the coolers are a standard design, we always manufacture them to suit customers’ specifications.

    Sourcing the fans
    Each cooler is fitted with eight fans and the challenge was to find a supplier who could meet the short timescale, as the previous supplier was unable to do so. This was compounded by the coronavirus pandemic which had affected deliveries.

    “As we had sold coolers to this customer on two previous occasions, they could trust us to meet their requests for a quick delivery,” said Christoph Melzer from Order Handling. “I am delighted to say that we were fully able to comply with the tight schedule which was helped by a collaborative effort from all parties.”

    The result
    Kelvion has sold a total of six units to this customer, all of which are operating reliably and efficiently.
