Sustainable cooling for supermarkets

Kelvion gas coolers are supporting the green credentials of a major supermarket chain in the Netherlands. Our coolers are the preferred choice as they enable the supermarkets to apply for energy-efficiency subsidies from the Dutch government.

Long standing working relationship
The coolers were selected by refrigeration and air conditioning equipment wholesaler Gafco, reflecting the strong working relationship that we have built with the Dutch company over two decades.

For the end customer we have so far supplied five units, one per supermarket. They are installed on the roofs and collect heat rejected from the cold rooms. Kelvion gas coolers offer the advantages of energy efficiency, quiet operation and are suitable for CO2 applications up to 120 bars.

Best choice
“While there are alternatives on the market, we have found that Kelvion gas coolers fulfil all requirements, especially with regards to sustainability,” said Bas Faaij, Commercial Director at Gafco. “As delivery time is crucial, we know we can rely on Kelvion to provide the units for installation when they are needed.”

The result
The coolers are running successfully and Kelvion is in discussion with Gafco about new sustainable additions to its portfolio.
