Kelvion Secures €9M Breakthrough Order to Support Major Carbon Capture Power Project

Kelvion has secured a significant €9 million order to deliver advanced heat exchange solutions for a landmark low-carbon power generation facility in Europe. This flagship project will integrate carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology at commercial scale — a major step forward in global efforts to decarbonise the energy sector.

Carbon emissions from power generation remain one of the biggest challenges in the fight against climate change. That’s why we’re particularly proud to be contributing to a project that addresses this issue head on by using one of Europe's most advanced carbon capture technologies.

By providing a vital component of the thermal system, we are helping to make large-scale, low-carbon power generation a reality.

The deal follows three years of intensive preparation, including front-end design work, budget proposals, and close alignment with the project’s EPC partner, plant owner, and process licensor. The award reinforces Kelvion’s role as a reliable partner for technically complex, sustainability-driven initiatives.

“This success is the result of exceptional cross-functional teamwork and sustained customer engagement,” said Fabrizio Palmeri, VP Sales South Europe at Kelvion. “Our regional teams played a vital role in maintaining customer proximity throughout the process, supported by our Global Solution Engineering experts.”

Engineering for Decarbonised Energy
The scope of supply includes two large heat exchanger packages – including single tube heat exchangers as well as fully welded plate heat exchangers – engineered to perform under the demanding conditions of carbon capture systems. These solutions are designed to enable the safe and efficient removal of CO₂ emissions from gas-based power generation, contributing directly to large-scale emission reductions.

The facility is expected to deliver hundreds of megawatts of flexible, low-carbon electricity — supporting national targets for cleaner energy and helping meet the power needs of over a million households annually.

Strategic Win for Green Tech Excellence
This major order from the EPC partner is a clear demonstration of how technical know-how, customer focus, and long-term commitment can deliver results. It also marks a key milestone in the execution of Kelvion’s Green Tech strategy.

Enabling What’s Next in Energy Transition
As the energy industry pivots toward net zero, Kelvion continues to lead with innovative thermal solutions that meet the evolving needs of the power sector. This win highlights the company’s ability to support mission-critical sustainability projects and confirms its position as a trusted partner in the energy transition.
