Financial Controller Netherlands

De Rol:

Als Financial Controller ben je mede verantwoordelijk voor een correct en efficiënte financiële administratie. Je bent toe aan je 2^e of 3^e volgende stap. Je stelt diverse rapportages op, werkt aan de maand- en jaarafsluiting en verzorgt CVS rapportages. Je speelt een belangrijke rol in het versterken van Internal Control binnen de financiële organisatie. Daarnaast lever je de benodigde documentatie aan voor audits waarbij je de vragen van auditors beantwoord. Je signaleert afwijkingen in de cijfers en doet voorstellen voor verbeteringen in boekingen, processen en systemen. In deze functie  ben je de rechterhand van de Manager Finance & Control. Je maakt deel uit van het team Finance & Control en je rapporteert aan de Manager Finance & Control. 

Kernverantwoordelijkheden: 

• Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de maandelijkse rapportage van correcte cijfers richting de Duitse moedermaatschappij op basis van IFRS.
• Je stelt het jaarlijkse budget en de maandelijkse forecast op.
• Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het financieel beheer en de administratie (werkkapitaal, cost centers, etc.)
• Je versterkt de Internal Control.
• Je begeleidt accountants tijdens interim- en jaarcontrole, inclusief het beantwoorden van vragen en aanleveren van documentatie.
• Je bereidt de financiële audit voor en voert deze uit door het opstellen en controleren van balansspecificaties en onderbouwingen.
• Je denkt mee met het ontwikkelen, implementeren en verbeteren van de AO/IB.
• Je vertaalt cijfers naar stuurinformatie door analyses en toegespitste management rapportages.

Wie ben jij: 

• Je hebt een afgeronde HBO Finance & Control/BE en minimaal 2 jaar relevante werkervaring.
• Je bent cijfermatig sterk en hebt een goed analytisch inzicht.
• Je bent proactief en gedreven.
• Je hebt ervaring met Internal Control.
• Je hebt ervaring met jaarrekeningcontroles en accountantsbegeleiding.
• Je hebt kennis van IFRS en je hebt ervaring met het toepassen van IFRS in de financiële verslaglegging.
• Je hebt goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels in woord en geschrift.
• Ervaring met SAP is een pré.

The Role:

As a Financial Controller, you will share responsibility for ensuring accurate and efficient financial administration. You’re ready for your next step—whether it’s your second or third. You will prepare various reports, assist with the monthly and annual closings, and produce CVS reports. You play a key role in strengthening internal controls within the financial organization. In addition, you will provide the necessary documentation for audits and respond to questions from auditors. You will identify discrepancies in the figures and make recommendations for improvements to accounting entries, processes and systems. In this role, you will act as the right-hand person to the Finance & Control Manager. You will be part of the Finance & Control team and will report to the Finance & Control Manager. 

What you will be responsible for:

• You are responsible for reporting accurate figures to the German parent company on a monthly basis in accordance with IFRS.
• You draw up the annual budget and the monthly forecast.
• You are responsible for financial management and administration (working capital, cost centres, etc.)
• You strengthen Internal Control.
• You will assist auditors during interim and annual audits, including answering questions and providing documentation.
• You will prepare for and carry out the financial audit by drawing up and checking balance sheet specifications and supporting documentation.
• You contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of the AO/IB.
• You translate figures into management information through analyses and tailored management reports.

About you:

• You have a degree in Finance & Control or Business Economics and at least two years’ relevant work experience.
• You are numerically strong and have good analytical skills.
• You are proactive and driven.
• You have experience with Internal Control.
• You have experience with financial statement audits and providing guidance to clients.
• You have knowledge of IFRS and experience in applying IFRS in financial reporting.
• You have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
