Position Overview

As HSE Service Operations Manager EMEA (m/f/d), you will play a key role in executing Kelvion’s EMEA Service HSE strategy across European service centers, field service activities, and on-site assembly or construction projects.

You will establish a practical and consistent HSE governance framework for service operations and translate strategic HSE requirements into clear routines, minimum standards, verification activities, training, and measurable performance outcomes. The focus is to strengthen operational safety discipline, improve critical control verification, reduce repeat findings, and ensure that HSE standards are effectively implemented in the field.

Working closely with Service leadership, local site teams, field service teams, contractors, and the EMEA HSE organisation, you will coach frontline leaders, support high-risk work preparation, drive incident learning, ensure CAPA follow-up, and promote a strong safety culture across remote and smaller service locations.

This is a hands-on, field-oriented role for an experienced HSE professional with strong service operations exposure, practical implementation capability, and the ability to influence teams across countries, customer sites, and operational environments.

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Own and execute the EMEA Service HSE strategy across European service operations, service centers, field service activities, and customer sites.
  • Translate HSE requirements into practical routines, minimum standards, verification activities, and measurable performance outcomes.
  • Develop, roll out, and sustain Service Center Minimum Standards, including implementation checklists, evidence requirements, and regular follow-up routines.
  • Align Field Service operations with common HSE baseline expectations through practical checks, coaching, supervision reinforcement, and on-site verification.
  • Define and implement minimum expectations for high-risk work controls, contractor interfaces, permit discipline, and on-site assembly or construction activities.
  • Provide hands-on field support for pre-job preparation, critical control verification, coaching, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Ensure effective incident response, including investigation quality, root cause analysis, CAPA discipline, and sustainable closure of corrective actions.
  • Identify repeat findings and incident trends and translate learnings into improved minimum standards, training needs, and preventive actions.
  • Design and deliver practical HSE training and coaching for service leaders, technicians, and contractor-facing roles.
  • Conduct risk assessments for service operations and projects and review method statements and risk assessments for high-risk activities.
  • Ensure compliance with EU and country-specific HSE regulations across EMEA service operations and customer sites.
  • Coordinate emergency response and crisis management preparedness for service operations.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; professional HSE certification required.
  • 7+ years of HSE experience within industrial, field service, service operations, construction, assembly, or comparable high-risk operational environments.
  • Strong practical knowledge of EU and country-specific HSE regulations relevant to service operations, customer sites, contractors, and field activities.
  • Proven experience in implementing HSE standards, routines, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work processes, and critical control verification.
  • Demonstrated capability in high-risk work control, contractor interface management, incident investigation, root cause analysis, CAPA follow-up, and sustainable corrective action management.
  • Experience in multi-country service environments and the ability to implement repeatable HSE routines across remote, small, or decentralised locations.
  • Strong coaching and communication skills with the ability to influence service leaders, technicians, contractors, and stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
  • Formal ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 management system experience is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent German and English skills; willingness to travel frequently across EMEA service locations, customer sites, and projects, including short-notice travel for critical incidents.
