Your Role

  • Management of the Supply Chain organizational structure – direct supervision of four department heads (Purchasing, Strategic Purchasing, Logistics, and Warehousing), with responsibility for the goals, KPIs, performance evaluations, and development of these teams.
  • Collaboration with other key stakeholders, such as Manufacturing, Technology, and Sales, is also critical for this role, as some of these materials are an essential and visible part of our sales offering to customers Ensuring proper visibility and alignment between sales and purchasing strategies is essential for mitigating business risks and achieving success.
  • The position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations at the Nymburk plant and the Vice President of Supply Chain for the EMEA region.
  • Lead and continuously improve the local Supply Chain organization through workforce planning, clear objectives, training, career development, and performance reviews in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Execute Supply Chain objectives and directives from the Site VP Operations and regional/global Supply Chain team, ensuring alignment with site and business priorities.
  • Guarantee timely availability of materials and services in line with customer demand, production plans, and company requirements across the site.
  • Define and optimize material planning and ordering processes (MRP, reorder points, spot buying, etc.) and manage key inventory parameters (min/max, MOQ, policies) to balance service levels and cost.
  • Lead supplier selection, sourcing, contracting, and nomination activities, ensuring compliance, performance, and escalation of deviations when required.
  • Drive cost‑reduction, efficiency, and value‑creation initiatives across materials, components, investments, and services while ensuring strong Supply Chain governance, data‑driven decision‑making, and representation in related business matters

 

Your Background

  • Experienced Supply Chain leader with at least 5 years of managerial experience in a medium‑sized international or global organization, preferably in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
  • University degree or equivalent in engineering, economics, or business management, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams toward clear objectives in demanding environments.
  • Purpose‑driven, target‑oriented professional with strong negotiation and communication skills, able to drive continuous improvement across products, processes, and suppliers while maintaining solid relationships and resolving conflicts.
  • Balanced, strategic leader comfortable in matrix and cross‑functional settings, with a collaborative mindset in international, multicultural teams.
  • Fluent business‑level Czech and English, based in Nymburk with willingness to travel, primarily within the region.
