Together, We Shape the Future
Job Description
We are establishing a newly formed in‑house M&A function and are seeking a Corporate Development Associate / M&A Manager to join the team at an early stage. This is a unique opportunity to shape the group’s M&A capabilities from the ground up while working closely with senior leadership and leveraging deep in‑house technical expertise.
Your initial focus will be on generating a high‑quality acquisition pipeline and evaluating strategic opportunities aligned with the group’s priorities. Over time, this role will expand to include broader transaction execution, strategic analyses, and leadership exposure. You will report directly to the Director of M&A.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and support the M&A pipeline through market mapping, industry benchmarking, and target screening.
- Collaborate with commercial, finance, and technical/engineering teams to assess acquisition targets from commercial, financial, and technical perspectives.
- Build, manage, and refine financial models to evaluate opportunities, including valuation and scenario analysis.
- Prepare M&A briefing documents, reports, and presentations for senior management.
- Work with internal technical and commercial teams to assess strategic fit and potential value creation.
- Support transaction execution, including due diligence coordination and interfacing with external advisors.
Your Profile
- Degree in finance, business, or a technical/engineering discipline, with strong commercial and financial acumen (MBA a plus but not required).
- 2–4 years of experience in in‑house strategy, corporate development, investment banking, boutique advisory, or private equity.
- Strong analytical capabilities and excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Proven financial modelling experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Structured, logical thinker with strong attention to detail.
- If you don’t meet every requirement but possess the right mindset and relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.
What We Offer
- Hybrid working arrangements and flexibility to be based within EMEA.
- Hands‑on exposure to how a large corporate evaluates and executes M&A opportunities.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams.
- Close interaction with senior leadership and visibility into strategic decision‑making.
- A collaborative environment with strong learning, development, and growth opportunities.
