De functie
Als Application / Sales Engineer ben jij de technische spil tussen onze klanten, de salesorganisatie en de interne engineeringafdelingen. Je adviseert klanten over onze warmtewisselaars en bent in staat technische vraagstukken te vertalen naar oplossingen, waarbij je gebruikmaakt van interne calculatiesoftware.
Je combineert technische kennis met een commerciële instelling. Ongeveer de helft van je tijd ondersteun je klanten en collega’s met technisch advies en productkennis. De andere helft besteed je aan het opstellen van offertes en het uitwerken van complexere klantaanvragen naar passende technische oplossingen.
Het betreft een binnendienstfunctie waarbij je nauw samenwerkt met collega’s van Sales, Engineering en Operations. De functie is ook geschikt voor een ambitieuze junior met een technische achtergrond die zich verder wil ontwikkelen.
Jouw verantwoordelijkheden
- Adviseren van klanten over warmtewisselaars en de bijbehorende software.
- Technisch uitleg geven over het volledige productportfolio van Kelvion.
- Inventariseren van klantbehoeften en vertalen naar passende technische oplossingen.
- Opstellen van offertes en uitwerken van technische aanvragen.
- Beoordelen en uitwerken van complexere klantvraagstukken.
- Ondersteunen van de Sales Managers met technische expertise tijdens het verkoopproces.
- Afstemmen met interne afdelingen om klantaanvragen succesvol te realiseren.
- Bijdragen aan een hoge klanttevredenheid door deskundig advies en snelle opvolging.
Jouw profiel
- Een mbo+/hbo werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur in een technische richting zoals Werktuigbouwkunde, Mechatronica of Procestechniek.
- Affiniteit met techniek én commercie.
- Interesse in warmtewisselaars en technische software, of de bereidheid je hierin te verdiepen.
- Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om technische informatie begrijpelijk uit te leggen.
- Een nauwkeurige en klantgerichte manier van werken.
- Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal.
- Ervaring in een vergelijkbare functie is mooi meegenomen, maar ook een leergierige junior nodigen we nadrukkelijk uit om te reageren.

The Role
As an Application / Sales Engineer, you are the technical link between our customers, the sales organization and our internal engineering departments. You advise customers on our heat exchangers and are able to translate technical challenges into solutions using our internal calculation software.
You combine technical knowledge with a commercial mindset. You spend approximately half of your time supporting customers and colleagues with technical advice and product knowledge. The other half is dedicated to preparing quotations and developing more complex customer requests into suitable technical solutions.
This is an internal sales position in which you work closely with colleagues from Sales, Engineering and Operations. The role is also suitable for an ambitious junior with a technical background who would like to develop further.
Your Responsibilities
- Advising customers on heat exchangers and the associated software.
- Providing technical explanations of Kelvion’s complete product portfolio.
- Identifying customer needs and translating them into suitable technical solutions.
- Preparing quotations and developing technical requests.
- Assessing and developing more complex customer challenges.
- Supporting Sales Managers with technical expertise throughout the sales process.
- Coordinating with internal departments to ensure customer requests are successfully completed.
- Contributing to a high level of customer satisfaction through expert advice and prompt follow-up.
Your Profile
- MBO+/HBO-level education or equivalent working and thinking ability, preferably in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Process Engineering.
- An affinity for both technology and commerce.
- An interest in heat exchangers and technical software, or a willingness to develop your knowledge in these areas.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly and understandably.
- An accurate and customer-focused approach to work.
- Good command of both Dutch and English.
- Experience in a similar role is an advantage, but enthusiastic and eager-to-learn junior candidates are also expressly encouraged to apply.
