Our corporate responsibility
Corporate responsibility and sustainability are essential components of Kelvion's corporate philosophy. With increasingly important ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria for sustainable corporate management, establishing and adhering to relevant standards is Kelvion’s utmost priority. In detail, this means that we strive for the highest level of compliance in all functions and involving all relevant parties. These established criteria relate to the consideration of ecological, social and governance-related aspects in our corporate strategy. The ‘G’ in ESG stands for Governance and therefore corporate governance. In our case, this area forms a comprehensive foundation for our corporate responsibility by ensuring that we uphold ethical standards and create long-term values. This includes, for example, the careful examination of human rights throughout the value chain at Kelvion.
Our global Code of Conduct contains guidelines on key compliance topics such as environment and safety, general behaviour, antitrust and competition law, fraud and bribery prevention, as well as data protection and working conditions. Specific guidelines for each compliance area provide detailed advice to all Kelvion employees on how to conduct their business to comply with regulations.
All Kelvion employees are entitled and encouraged to confidentially approach their supervisors, line managers, the HR department, legal department, compliance department, or even executive level if concerns or compliance issues arise. Kelvion has also established a whistleblowing channel. Here, employees or external stakeholders can raise concerns, contact Kelvion Compliance, and remain anonymous if desired. Kelvion follows up all related concerns and reports are documented.
Furthermore, we have developed a compliance training plan for all employees, covering various key topics such as combating corruption and bribery. Employees are required to complete corresponding mandatory online training with an integrated knowledge test, available in 11 languages.
Sustainable Supply Chain Management
Within Kelvion, the role of Supply Chain Management is clearly defined as one of the ESG key players based on the following criteria:
- The EVP Procurement is a member of the Kelvion Management Team.
- Two of the nine members of Kelvion's ESG Committee are from Supply Chain Management.
This is done against the backdrop of increasing demands for sustainability criteria worldwide, which are also embedded within the corporate governance at Kelvion. The representatives of the Supply Chain Management function consider ESG requirements in a balanced manner between country-specific and global requirements.
