Enhancing Reliability with Advanced Materials
The scope of the project included the supply and installation of >9,000 full-length tube liners made from Hastelloy C-276, a high-performance alloy known for its exceptional corrosion resistance. These liners were installed across several Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger bundles, significantly enhancing the durability and operational reliability of critical process equipment.
Strategic Execution for Maximum Efficiency
Originally planned for on-site execution, the project was strategically relocated to Kelvion’s workshop in Jubail. This shift enabled tighter quality control, improved safety, and greater efficiency – demonstrating Kelvion’s flexibility and commitment to delivering tailored solutions.
“This project is a milestone for Kelvion, not only in terms of scale and value, but also in the trust placed in us by one of the world’s most influential energy companies. Our long-standing relationship and proven track record in similar applications were key to securing this order,” says George Karadontis, local manager at Kelvion.
Building Trust Through Technical Expertise
Kelvion’s involvement began early, supporting the customer from the budgeting phase and drawing on insights from previous successful collaborations. The team also participated in a key industry event focused on distillation technologies, where Kelvion presented its approach to tube protection in overhead condensers. This engagement helped reinforce Kelvion’s position as a trusted technical partner in the field.
This project not only shows Kelvion’s technical capabilities but also highlights the strength of long-term partnerships and the value of proactive collaboration in delivering complex industrial solutions.
