Our Coil solutions
Design and application
How are Coils constructed - and how do they work?
The fins are equipped with special profiles developed at our R&D department enhancing heat transfer and keeping pressure drop at a moderate level. The customised fin spacing is achieved by collars which also provide the contact between the fin block and the tubes. Mechanical expansion of the tubes guarantees a perfect bond between the fins and the tubes leading to maximum heat transfer between both fluids. Several tubes are interconnected via brazed / welded return bends forming the circuits of the coil, which are provided with the working fluid by brazed tubular headers. All coils are tested for leaks after completion.
Development and quality
How are performance and reliability ensured?
The thermodynamic design is performed with an in-house developed selection software which is based on the measurements in our laboratory conform to DIN EN1216. Retesting on a regular basis supports quality control of our coils. The wide range of our product portfolio with diverse options allows the design of customised coils leading to cost-optimised and energy efficient products. Short delivery times and an excellent service support completes satisfaction of our demanding customers.
Use and benefits
Why are our finned tube heat exchangers the ideal choice?
No need to break out in a sweat in summer or shiver in winter – Kelvion compact fin and tube coils are the perfect partner for keeping your air conditioning systems at the right temperature, whatever the time of year. With 8mm tubes and patented fin profile, our heat exchanger coils provide the same or even higher performance than systems with larger tube diameters, but with less weight. This makes them the ideal choice where roof load is limited. They also offer 20% less air pressure loss, leading to reduced power consumption and lower noise levels. In addition, customers can reduce their refrigerant charge by up to 40%. And, our unique fin profile is more resistant and easier to clean than other fin designs.
