Perform activities concerned with maintenance of equipment and machinery in industrial plant by performing the following duties.
What you will be responsible for:
- Confers with department managers to coordinate monthly inspections
- Must have valid driver’s license to drive to different locations within the Port.
- Ability to operate overhead and jib cranes, operate industrial forklifts and man lifts.
- Visually inspects and test machinery and equipment.
- Ability to dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
- Ability to install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
- Prioritize and schedule both routine maintenance work orders and breakdown situations within the team, managing their workload, including attendance.
- Able to document data and write clear reports.
- Provide assistance in estimating for maintenance related projects within Kelvion.
- Conduct safety bi-weekly meetings with the Team.
- Reinforce safety policy and rules, identifying breaches or hazards and reporting them in a timely, concise manner.
- Must be able to provide sufficient supervision up to 80% of their time working on maintenance related tasks, duties.
- Routine trouble shooting and problem solving, including finding ways of improvement for long-term solution.
- Encourage continuous idea generation from team members for continuous process improvement in cost, time, and safety.
- Ensure 5S (workplace organization method in the area with good housekeeping manner) is being applied on a daily basis.
- Ensure all equipment is up to date and within the standards needed.
- Strong attention to detail, organization skill, and communication skill.
- Prioritize tasks in a self-directed and time-managed manner.
- Monitor quality in accordance with the company ISO Quality Plan
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to directly supervise up to 6-10 non-supervisory employees.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Kelvion Thermal Solution’s policies, procedures and applicable laws.
- Must demonstrate and exhibit professional qualities when speaking with employees, whether in a one-on-one scenario or a group setting.
- Responsibilities, as assigned by the Department Manager, will include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematic drawing for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of three years of experience in industrial maintenance required.
