The Role
Systematically evaluate and enhance processes in the manufacturing environment, aiming for optimal outcomes through incremental, ongoing improvements by performing the following duties.
What you will be responsible for:
- Focuses on maximizing value to the customer by eliminating waste and streamlining processes.
- Assist in the implantation of quality control methodology aimed at minimizing defects and variations to improve overall quality.
- Emphasize continuous improvement by involving all employees in achieving quality excellence, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and commitment to excellence.
- Use drills, taps, reams, levels, bolts, screws, nuts, rivets, hand tools, portable power tools, specialty tools, paint, tape, and others to implement these changes in the manufacturing process.
- Emphasize incremental, regular improvements to workflows and processes.
- Assist in the implementation of software development that promotes iterative development, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Digitize the production line to collect data and implement changes.
- Follow through with “PDCA” A four-step quality assurance method for identifying opportunities, planning changes, implementing them, analyzing results, and acting on those findings.
- Attend meetings dedicated to brainstorming and implementing improvement ideas.
- Assist in the implementation of a visual workflow management system that facilitates continuous improvement through collaboration and feedback. This includes color coding, implementation of labeling systems, shadow boards, and tooling management systems.
- Focus on identifying the underlying causes of problems to address them effectively.
- Attend walks in the actual workplace to observe processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the visualization of the entire process flow from start to finish to identify waste and bottlenecks.
- Perform duties to help organize the workplace and improve efficiency and safety (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Follow drawings and other written and verbal specifications; plans assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience to help create and refine these specifications.
- Be an example to others by always waring and implementing the proper PPE for the task.
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work in the production environment, ability to work overtime.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
- Strict Adherence to Kelvion and Customer’s Safety Requirements - e.g., Personal Protective Equipment, Job Safety Analysis, etc.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
