Administers warehouse management functions by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Oversees the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department priorities.
- Responsible for inventory accountability and accuracy.
- Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
- Arranges transportation of required materials with department supervisors for delivery to various departments.
- Encourage continuous idea generation from team members for continuous process improvement in cost, time, and safety.
- Identify employees’ skills and develop them by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis
- Provide continual feedback to employees on both positive and negative performance
- Conduct weekly safety meetings; monitor quality of work performed in accordance with the company’s Quality Plan
- Ensure 5S (workplace organization method in the area with good housekeeping manner) is being applied on a daily basis.
- Follow updated schedules to meet ship dates.
- Monitor quality in accordance with the company ISO Quality Plan.
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, and the ability to work on–site
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Broad working experience in supply chain functions of planning, purchasing, inventory management and Logistics, Hands-on knowledge, Demonstrated leadership skills & managerial experience, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum 2 years in supervisory role in a warehouse / manufacturing environment required.
- Previous MRP experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will be working in a manufacturing area, which has moving mechanical equipment; hazards associated with welding, airborne mists and particles, chemicals and loud shop noises. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is subject to extreme weather conditions of temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and/or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit for periods of more than one hour. The employee should also consider the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind, precipitation, and humidity.
