Kelvion has expanded its industrial air cooler range to provide customers with fast and flexible options.

Bochum (Germany), November 17th – Kelvion, a leading global manufacturer of industrial heat exchangers, announced today a portfolio and leadership transition in which the company will spin-off its Thermal Engineered Solutions (“TES”) Business Unit and Andy Blandford will succeed Jürgen Vinkenflügel as Chief Executive Officer of the remaining Kelvion business.

The Kelvion manufacturing site at The Port of Catoosa, which is an industry leader in the production of heat exchangers for the Oil & Gas industry, is expanding to meet the growing demand in the North American market. Kelvion, formerly known as GEA Rainey, has been in continual operation since 1964 and has a long history and extensive expertise in the heat transfer industry.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony recently launched the second production facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. This expansion allows Kelvion to meet the growing demand for innovative heat exchangers in the Data Center and Refrigeration industries.

The Helmholtz Zentrum in Dresden has chosen Kelvion’s innovative printed circuit K°Bond heat exchangers to test a power cycle using supercritical CO2 for the project “Carbosola”. Known as the Brayton Cycle, it is much more efficient than those based on water/steam and, as a result, is expected to become an important technology in future.
