EGHE - Exhaust Gas Heat Exchanger
Its compact and modular design makes it extremely versatile and easy to service. Our exhaust gas heat exchanger (EGHE) is designed to recover heat from exhaust gas produced for example by furnaces in process industries or by combustion engines used in combined heat and power plants.

The heat exchanger transfers the heat from the exhaust gas to a liquid (water or water-glycol solutions). When heated up, this liquid can be used in central heating systems; for preheating air in the combustion chambers of furnaces and turbines; to dry coal, pulp, wood and other materials as well as for generating electricity with a Rankine process. Heat Exchange as a Service (HXaaS) is the result of an innovation project to increase resource efficiency.
The guiding question Kelvion has set itself is "How can we exchange heat more sustainably and efficiently while better meeting the needs of our customers?"

 

The project, funded by the Effizienzagentur NRW, underlines Kelvion's innovative strength and high standards for technology and business models.

 

HXaaS is a customer-centric business model with which Kelvion helps its customers to increase their resource efficiency with a product-service-system in a usaged-based subscription.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

With Heat Exchange as a Service, Kelvion is part of the circular economy that supports, among other things, the European Union's Green Deal and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by using natural resources efficiently and reducing emissions.

The lifetime of products is extended, saving resources and CO2. At the same time, resource efficiency is increased for customers.

In the circular economy, Kelvion follows the 3R strategy: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Through a modular design, the use of resources is reduced to a minimum.

Products are developed and used in such a way that they can be reused and repaired. This is done under the highest quality standards, so that performance and reliability correspond to those of new products. Should products ever become irreparable, Kelvion ensures that they are sorted by type and fed into the recycling circuit.
