We are looking for an experienced Finance Director with a strong background in manufacturing finance, controlling and SAP-driven environments to lead the finance function of our manufacturing plants in Świebodzice. In this role, you will act as a strategic business partner to the local management team, while ensuring financial transparency, operational excellence and sustainable growth in an international industrial environment. Simply put, we are looking for a Finance Director who understands the factory, not just the financial statements.
This role is based in Swiebodzice (Poland).
What you will be responsible for:
- Manage, coach, and further develop the local finance and controlling team, building strong capabilities and a culture of accountability.
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory, tax, and IFRS-compliant reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Drive controlling activities across the manufacturing plants, including weekly revenue and EBIT planning, performance management, KPI reporting, product costing, inventory valuation and variance analysis to support fact-based and forward-looking business decisions.
- Oversee liquidity planning, cash flow management, working capital optimization, and cost controlling.
- Take full accountability for the numbers, challenge assumptions, explain the story behind financial performance, and ensure transparent communication of risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.
- Identify deviations early, influence outcomes before they materialize, and drive concrete mitigation actions together with operational and commercial stakeholders.
- Drive execution accountability with cost center owners by ensuring clear ownership of budgets, forecasts, cost deviations, corrective actions, and delivery of agreed financial targets.
- Ensure robust internal controls, SOX compliance, and adherence to corporate governance standards across finance processes.
- Partner closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team on operational, commercial, and strategic financial matters.
- Support investment decisions and operational planning through business cases, financial modelling, cost calculations, and scenario analysis.
- Represent the company as the key finance contact for auditors, banks, tax advisors, legal partners, and other external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and efficiency gains across finance and business processes.
- Act as business owner for SAP FI/CO processes within the plants and partner with operations to drive digitalization initiatives, improve data quality and enhance financial insights.
About you:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field; ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MBA or an equivalent qualification would be an advantage.
- Several years of experience in a senior finance leadership role within an international manufacturing environment, including responsibility for planning, product costing, variances analysis and operational performance management.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting, as well as Polish tax regulations. Proven hands-on experience working in SAP-driven manufacturing organizations, with strong understanding of SAP FI/CO processes and their integration with production, logistics and supply chain operations.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while building constructive relationships across the organization.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations, compelling business narratives, and actionable decisions for business leaders.
- Confident communication style, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multinational matrix organization.
- Structured, resilient, solution-oriented, and hands-on personality with a strong doer mindset, high level of ownership, accountability, and professional maturity.
- Business-fluent Polish and English.
What we offer YOU:
- A highly visible leadership role with significant impact on the future development of the organization.
- Opportunity to work in an international environment and collaborate with regional finance leaders.
- Attractive remuneration package including annual bonus.
- Stable employment based on a full-time employment contract.
